I started my journey as a Fashion print designer working in New York and London designing womenswear clothing prints for New Look, Marks and Spencer right through to  Calvin Klein and Versace.

Returning from travelling in Australia and New Zealand (where I met my husband ), I  set up my own printed T shirt label “Margo” that stocked in high end boutiques in the UK and Europe and featured in British Vogue.

My husband and I moved to Poole in 2006 to enjoy the beaches and have a family. We had always wanted a dog but it was not practical at the time so I painted “Boxer” to keep him company! Not long after, we met our rescue dog Esme and then added two children!!

Now, with a desire to be creative again and demand from friends for paintings Bark & Bristle was born !!

In 2016 I branched out into Beach and boat paintings and was inspired by locally found driftwood to  transform this into art. Turns out people actually do love a seagull !!
